Key Responsibilities

As a Trainee Research Associate – Synthesis, you will contribute to the discovery and development of novel chemical entities through:

• Synthesizing, purifying, and characterizing chemical intermediates.
• Delivering chemical compounds in scales required for drug discovery projects.
• Collaborating with team members to advance ongoing chemistry research.
• Applying advanced knowledge in:
  • Organic chemistry principles and reaction mechanisms.
  • Functional group transformations and name reactions.
  • Analytical techniques, including NMR, IR, and mass spectrometry.
• Utilizing hands-on expertise in thin-layer chromatography, column purification, and extractions.
• Ensuring adherence to laboratory safety and fostering a proactive learning attitude.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • M.Sc. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or related fields.
  • M.Pharm with specialization in Organic Synthesis.
• Experience: 0-1 year of project experience in relevant domains.

Skills Required

• Profound knowledge of organic chemistry concepts and reaction mechanisms.
• Expertise in molarity, normality, and equivalency.
• Proficiency in purification techniques like thin-layer and column chromatography.
• Familiarity with advanced analytical tools such as NMR, IR, and mass spectrometry.
• Strong teamwork, scientific communication skills, and adaptability.
