Position Summary Syngene Hiring for Fresher Senior Research
Syngene is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Research Associate to join its Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (MAP) department. The selected candidate will be actively involved in conducting in-vivo rodent pharmacokinetic (PK) studies, which are crucial in advancing early drug discovery projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh or early-career postgraduate in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences to build a career in preclinical research in a highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently execute in-vivo pharmacokinetic (PK) studies in rodents to support drug discovery programs.
- Manage various aspects of animal studies including:
- Dosing,
- Sample collection (blood, tissues),
- Sample processing,
- Data entry and initial analysis.
- Use specialized pharmacokinetic software such as Phoenix WinNonlin to estimate key PK parameters.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including formulation scientists, bioanalytical experts, and biologists to ensure seamless project execution.
- Interpret and analyze PK data to extract meaningful insights for project decision-making.
- Present data summaries and findings during project team discussions and reviews.
- Adhere strictly to animal ethics guidelines, laboratory safety protocols, and GLP standards.

Educational Qualification:
- M.Pharm or M.S. (Pharm.) in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
Desired Skills and Attributes
Technical Competencies:
- Hands-on experience in rodent handling and conducting PK studies.
- Familiarity with pharmacokinetic data analysis and result interpretation.
- Experience or understanding of jugular vein cannulation or other relevant surgical techniques (preferred, not mandatory).
- Knowledge of preclinical drug discovery processes.
