Key Responsibilities
Thermo Fisher is looking for a Principal Medical Writer who can: Remote Hiring for Medical Writer
- Lead the authoring, development, and editing of complex regulatory and clinical documents including Clinical Study Reports (CSRs), study protocols, and EU CTR submissions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Biostatistics to ensure documentation meets high scientific and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with global regulatory standards including ICH-GCP, FDA, EMA, and other regional guidelines.
- Provide strategic and content-level input for regulatory documentation.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical writers and uphold quality benchmarks across all deliverables.
- Manage multiple concurrent writing projects while ensuring timely delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with innovations in AI-driven content creation, Natural Language Generation (NLG), and other structured content systems.
Educational Background & Experience

- A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field. Advanced degrees such as M.Pharm, Pharm.D, MSc, MBBS, or MD are preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in regulatory medical writing within the pharmaceutical or clinical research sectors.
- Proven experience in drafting and finalizing Phase III Clinical Study Reports (CSRs) and clinical trial protocols.
- Prior involvement in EU Clinical Trial Regulation (EU CTR) submissions is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with Structured Content Management (SCM) systems and AI tools used in content creation will be advantageous.
