Position Overview
Abbott is looking for a Vaccines Associate to join our team in Mumbai. This role is essential in executing sales plans to achieve financial and ethical goals in your assigned market. As a Vaccines Associate, you will be responsible for managing distributor networks, driving sales, and ensuring strong brand presence. You will contribute to Abbott’s mission of advancing healthcare solutions by promoting vaccines and building long-term relationships within the healthcare community. Key Responsibilities
1. Area Business Planning
- Develop monthly and quarterly business plans.
- Strategize demand generation and fulfillment.
- Monitor sales performance and implement corrective measures.
- Conduct prescription audits for Abbott and competitor brands.
- Maintain and update customer lists for doctors and chemists (both physical and electronic).
- Identify potential business areas and appoint distributors/customers based on business philosophy.
2. Business Generation & Development
- Achieve sales targets across monthly, quarterly, and yearly timelines.
- Engage in science-based discussions with doctors and chemists to ethically promote products.
- Organize CMEs (Continuing Medical Education) and brand activations across clinics and trade.
- Implement merchandising and sampling activities in line with divisional strategy.
- Support new product launches with targeted customer engagement and trade promotion.

3. Customer Management
- Execute a customer management plan to ensure 100% coverage of all doctors and chemists.
- Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) like customer call averages and inventory management.
- Collect market intelligence and provide feedback to improve strategies.
4. Brand Management
- Enhance Abbott’s brand visibility at retail outlets.
- Participate in retail meets and market blitz activities to support sales growth.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience handling Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and managing institutions within the pharma or healthcare sector.
- Proven track record in sales, customer engagement, and business planning.
- Experience in vaccines sales is preferred but not required.
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and flexibility skills.
