Job Responsibilities
As a Research Associate / Senior Research Associate in In-vivo Pharmacology, you will play a critical role in advancing our drug discovery programs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with discovery specialists, disease area scientists, and the in vivo team.
- Conducting in vivo efficacy and mechanistic studies for novel chemical entities (NCEs).
- Establishing and validating new in vivo disease models, physiological endpoints, and biomarkers.
- Performing data analysis using statistical methods and delivering results to inform decisions.
- Recording experimental data in company-specified formats.
- Preparing and presenting scientific materials for internal and external use.
- Contributing to cross-functional team activities and offering innovative ideas.
- Learning from leading drug discovery scientists worldwide.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- Educational Background: M.Pharm, Ph.D, MSc/M.S in Pharmacology with 0-5 years of experience in academic or industrial R&D settings.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge in pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, physiology, and experience with in vivo disease model development, validation, and testing.
- Practical Skills: Small animal handling, dosing via various routes, dissections, tissue harvesting, and biomarker evaluations (qPCR, WB, ELISA).
- Drug Discovery Knowledge: Understanding of the drug discovery process.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Work Ethic: A scientific curiosity with a “can-do, will-do” attitude.
- Technical Tools: Familiarity with electronic lab notebook systems is a plus.
