Key Responsibilities
- Case Processing & Assessment:
- Process case files in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Reassess data accuracy, select correct product codes, and assign appropriate event codes.
- Collaborate with affiliate offices to collect necessary datasets for case reports.
- Handle follow-ups and generate periodic and expedited regulatory reports.
- Manage responses to manufacturing QA requests and health authority inquiries.
- Safety & Quality Compliance:
- Monitor and escalate potential safety issues.
- Initiate quality investigations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with global safety and vigilance guidelines.
- Support audits and reconciliation activities.
Key Skills & Knowledge Areas
- Understanding of ophthalmic terminology, eye anatomy, and common diseases.
- Familiarity with Intraocular Lens (IOL) complaints handling.
- Experience in pharmacovigilance, device vigilance, or clinical research is preferred.
- Working knowledge of medical device safety regulations (national/international).
- Basic proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication in English.

- Timely closure of case files with high accuracy.
- Quality and compliance in regulatory report submissions.
- Adherence to timelines and reporting standards.
- Contribution to audit readiness and quality monitoring.
Eligibility Criteria Alcon Hiring for Associate II Patient Safety
Education:
Minimum:
- Graduation in Science or Life Sciences (B.Sc, B.Pharm, BDS, BAMS, BHMS)
Preferred: - Pharm.D, M.Pharm, M.Sc, Optometry
Experience:
- 0–2 years in:
- Pharmacovigilance / Device Vigilance
- Regulatory Submissions / Clinical Research / PVPI / Medical Coding
- Optometry graduates: 0–1 year of relevant experience
Language:
- English (Fluent – written and spoken)
Professional Attributes:
- Strong interpersonal, time management, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet stringent deadlines.
